Toton “West” Planning Applications 25/00371/OUT & 25/00928/FUL
Further to our previous post, Bloor Homes have submitted a further planning application 25/00928/FUL for the same site in addition to the amended 25/00371/OUT application. The new application is a hybrid one seeking full planning permission for 69 homes, with the remaining 351 for outline approval – i.e. still 420 homes in total.
The new documents can be found on Broxtowe’s planning portal by typing 25/00928/FUL into the search box and then selecting the Documents tab.
Both planning applications are ‘live’ so it is important to respond to both, although of course there will be plenty of similarity between the two and no doubt your representations!
Public Meetings
A very well attended Public Meeting hosted by our local councillors was held this Thursday evening. It was well attended with over 100 people present, and we are sure everyone found it useful and informative in setting out the context both from the Forum’s and Council’s perspective. There was a lively discussion and question session, with the points raised noted by our local representatives to take back to the developers.
The issues raised haven’t changed since the Forum’s original consultations i.e. Traffic/congestion on Stapleford Lane, Flooding risk down the hill, Affordable Housing, proximity of new housing to existing, Employment, Public transport, etc., with the need for adequate provision of School places, Community & leisure facilities, Healthcare, Green spaces etc.
Date for your diary – There will be a further public meeting on 24th February at Coronation Hall in Toton (details to follow) when the Developers and Landowners will be invited to present their visions and plans. We are sure this will be as equally lively!
Nevertheless, it is important to reiterate that you should make your comments on each application via the Broxtowe Planning Portal otherwise they will not be taken into account. If you are happy to share your comments with us, you can do so using the contact details below.
As always please do feel free to ask any questions you may have on this week’s latest bulletin or anything else via the Contact Us page or by email to assist.cttcnf@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to answer them via the Questions and Answers page.
