We were informed this week that both Nottingham City Council and Broxtowe Borough Council have adopted the Reduction of Carbon in New Development Supplementary Planning Document (Carbon SPD), the former on 17th June 2025 and Broxtowe on 1st July 2025. For Planning Applications registered from these dates onwards, the Carbon SPD will be taken into account by the Councils as a material consideration.
You can view the Broxtowe Borough Council’s Adoption Statement and the Carbon SPD Report of Consultation by clicking on the links. The consultation report provides a summary of the main issues raised within the consultation responses, and how these have been addressed in the adopted SPD.
