Public Meeting to Discuss 25/00371/OUT
Councillor Teresa Cullen has organised a public meeting to discuss this updated application (and possibly the other two) to be held on Thursday 29th January at 7pm at Coronation Hall, Portland Road, Toton NG9 6EL. Please go along if you want to find out more or raise your concerns. However, it is important that you make your comments via the Broxtowe Planning Portal against the Application otherwise they will not be taken into account. You can do this following the meeting, and if you are happy to share your comments with us, you can do so using the contact details at the bottom of this post.
Members of the Forum Steering Group will be in attendance.
Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan Submission
We also received notification this week that the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan (GNSP), including supporting documents, was submitted to the Secretary of State on 22nd December 2025 in accordance with Regulation 22 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012. The GNSP has been produced by Broxtowe Borough, Nottingham City and Rushcliffe Borough Councils.
The next stage will be for an independent examination of the Strategic Plan. Planning Inspectors have been appointed to conduct the examination, and will take into account the representations (including the Forum’s) submitted on the Regulation 19 Draft Plans as far as they relate to soundness and legal compliance considerations.
A number of informal debates will take place on the principal matters identified by the Inspectors, which are termed Hearing Sessions. The Forum expects to be invited to these Hearings and receive details of the arrangements for the Examination process in due course, although no timescales are yet available for any of these arrangements. We will let you know once we receive further notifications.
In the meantime, a copy of the examination documents and updates on the examination process are available at https://www.localplanservices.co.uk/gnspexamination
As always please do feel free to ask any questions you may have on this week’s latest bulletin or anything else via the Contact Us page or by email to assist.cttcnf@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to answer them via the Questions and Answers page.
