Local Plan Part 2 Submission

The Broxtowe Part 2 Local Plan, together with the Schedule of Changes and Modifications, was submitted to the Secretary of State on 31st July 2018 so that it can be examined by an independent planning inspector.

The next step involves public hearings chaired by the Inspector to discuss specific issues. The Inspector will decide the issues to be discussed and who will be involved in the discussion. The Inspector will invite further supporting evidence from the Council and respondents as necessary.

The Broxtowe Part 2 Local Plan can be formally adopted if it is found to be ‘sound’ and legally compliant at Examination. Further information relating to the Broxtowe Part 2 Local Plan Examination will be published on our website www.broxtowe.gov.uk/part2localplan when it becomes available.

The Examination will be administered by an independent Programme Officer, who reports directly to the Inspector (Contact: programmeofficer@broxtowe.gov.uk ). The Programme Officer will be writing to those who have made representations on the Part 2 Local Plan to give details of the Examination programme and explain how they may be able to participate in the Examination.

Details of the availability of documents can be found in the Notice of Submission (below). If you would like any additional information or have queries about the Part 2 Local Plan, please do not hesitate to contact the Planning Policy team on policy@broxtowe.gov.uk or 0115 917 3452/3448.
