Urgent – Bloor/Peveril “Toton North” Consultation – Closes 13th May 2025 – Updated – Corrected

Peveril/Bloor have another consultation on the area they call “Toton North”. The leaflet and the opportunity to comment is at their website https://www.totonnorth.co.uk or by emailing totonnorth@pegasusgroup.co.uk.

(Apologies for the error in the original post)

Update: The Outline Planning Application is available on the Broxtowe Planning Portal as 25/00306/OUT with consultation until the 21st May 2025

As you can see, the area concerned is mainly North of the tram line and East of the A52, but also includes the bit to the East of what they call “Toton East” which is not included in the planning application 25/00255/FUL on the Broxtowe Planning Portal (note that the commenting deadline for 25/00255/FUL is now confirmed as 23rd May 2025).

We think this is the final piece of the Bloor/Peveril jigsaw of proposals/applications, but most of this one is outside the “Strategic Location for Growth” as released in the Broxtowe Part 2 Local Plan, with a good chunk of it in the green belt that isn’t released by the emerging Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan Policy 21*. It extends north into Bramcote i.e. most of the proposed “Country Park” with only a small triangular slice of that within our Forum Area. All the proposed built development falls within our Area.

* Note the part of the green belt that would be released by Policy 21 is the new Character Area designated as Toton Northeast. Once again Bloor/Peveril have confused the classification, as the Character Area to be known as Toton North is actually in the SLG West of Stapleford Lane, and not in the location shown in this latest consultation!

Whilst you may feel “Consulted Out”, it is important that you give them your comments and copy us through our contact us page or by emailing assist.cttcnf@gmail.com, and as before we will publish the comments we receive.

Comments can be made directly to Bloor/Peveril via the website link at the top of this post. However, we will let you know as soon as we are aware of the dedicated email address that has been promised as an additional/alternative means to submit your comments if preferred, as well as for more detailed comments as the online form has limited space!

Finally

We thought you might be interested to look at the Statement of Community Involvement included amongst the documentation for the Toton East planning application 25/00255/FUL. It can be viewed or downloaded via the link and is one of those dated 28th March 2025 “Supporting Documents With Planning Application” with the description P23-2113 sci just below where the date changes to 2nd April in the list.

It will allow you to see how the developer has responded to the comments received. Perhaps look out for your own and let us know what you think. We are struggling to find any reference to the the detailed comments we submitted to the original proposals last year!
